HP Recommended

I recently bought an HP officejet 7720  printer in Nigeria, shipped from Spain region. I loaded replacement cartridges bougtht in the US, and I am getting the incompatible cartridge message. How can I reset my printer to work using US cartriges or Nigerian cartriges? I have 4 sets of US cartriges I bought on vacation and dont want to throw them away.  Help !
