I recently bought a HP 9120e printer. I am not happy with the printer. It cuts off after it prints something and has to be shut down and restarted the next time that you want to print. Even the HP Smart app can not wake the printer up and make it start printing. It is very frustrating.

Hi @Judyug,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your HP 9120e printer. It's important to ensure that the printer's firmware is updated to the latest version, as outdated firmware can sometimes cause operational issues. Furthermore, checking the power settings to ensure the printer is not entering a deep sleep mode which would prevent the app from waking it could be beneficial.
Additionally, you can follow these general troubleshooting steps:
Update Firmware: Ensure that the printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the HP Support website.
Power Settings: Check the power settings and set your printer to remain active if it isn't already configured that way. Sometimes, printers can enter a power-saving mode that might affect their responsiveness.
Reinstall HP Smart App: If the app is unable to communicate with the printer, try reinstalling it to ensure there are no app glitches.
Check Connections: Confirm that all connections, including Wi-Fi and cables, are stable. A loose or unstable connection could be causing the issue.
I hope this helps.
