Hi @Pavtwothree,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding color printing issues on the HP Smart Tank 7300 series!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the color ink tanks (cyan, magenta, yellow) have sufficient ink. You can check the ink levels visually by inspecting the ink tanks.

Ink Tank Refill: If any of the color ink tanks are low or empty, refill them with the appropriate HP ink.

Print Settings: Verify that the print settings are configured for color printing:

  • Open your printing preferences on the computer.
  • Select 'Print in Color' from the print settings menu. Ensure the 'Grayscale' option is not selected.

Printhead Maintenance: Perform a printhead alignment and cleaning:

  • Use the printer's touchscreen or the HP Smart app.
  • Select 'Maintenance' and then 'Align Printhead' or 'Clean Printhead' options.

Check for Printhead Errors: Ensure there are no issues with the color printhead. Remove and reinstall the printhead if necessary:

  • Open the ink access door.
  • Check if the printheads are installed properly and that all protective tapes are removed.

Software Update: Make sure your printer driver and software are up-to-date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or on the HP support website.

I hope this helps.
