 ‎This is a previous answer, and actually works for me - Is there any way to correct what I presume is an HP programming fault?

Hi, I have the same problem and I've tried all the usual HP methods... none of them work.

However when I switch to a glossy paper setting from the printer driver my blacks come out fine. Does this work for you?

When you select glossy paper the printer prints black using a colour cartridge ( mixing cyan magenta and yellow to get black).

 

You are waisting colour ink on printing black, replace the black ink cartridge and the printer will print black on plain paper.

Other people have had the same problem, I have also replaced the black cartridge but this doe not help
