HP DeskJet 2820e All-in-One Printer

Just replaced a nearly 4 year old HP printer with a HP Deskjet 2820e, already subscribed to Instant Ink.

The colour cartridge that came with the printer ran out yesterday and I had not yet received a shipment from HP. However, it arrived today. Popped it in, have printed a total of 121 pages in total since having the new printer (including the ink that was included in the printer box) and the new colour cartridge has just run out! Is this normal?? I have no more cartridges, it says to expect shipment in10 business days. Am signed up to the 500 pages a month plan so if the ink lasts such a short time they should be sending them out more frequently?

The ink cartridge you received with the new printer is a setup cartridge that can print around 70 pages, and the new cartridge you received can print up to 120 pages. The page yield is based on a 5% coverage, if you print photos or you use higher coverage like 10% then you can print only half the amount of pages.
Good thing in instant ink is that you are paying for printed pages, not for the ink you consume, but if you received today new ink and it is already empty it will take a while for a new cartridge to be delivered.
