HP M476
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my printer is printing all black pages. I found some tips online, but nothing worked.  I tried plugging directly into a wall outlet, uninstalled/reinstalled the printer, confirmed drivers up to date, but nothing is working. Any ideas?

One could be a bad toner.  The wiper blade inside the toner (it cleans the excess toner off the drum) "flips over" and allows an edge to edge coat of toner to be put on the paper.  This is a common thing that happens with re-manufactured or generic toners.  So, replace the black toner as a first step.  Make sure you use OEM.

The other thing is that the grounding clip is broken off on the power rail.  If this happened when you changed a toner, it's a defective toner or you broke the clip.

The most uncommon, but still happens, is the high voltage power supply went bad. If that is the case, replace the printer.

All that said, if it just randomly happened in the middle of a print job, then the blade flip is the most likely cause.

The M476 is kind of a weak unit that was an in-between model.  the toners and parts cross with no other model, so parts are tough and toner is not cheap.  If you do not have the ability to do tech work, try a toner.  If that doesn't fix it, stop there.  Hit up an office supply or one of the larger online companies and pick up an M479.
