I own a HP5010 All in one wireless printer. I have had this printer since 2019. I took a look at the page count and the total amount of pages is 1161 since 2019. My issue is that in the last 3 months I have changed the HP65 Black and Color cartridges Twice. Cartridges are not cheap these days and I expect they should last longer than 25 pages. I have barely go ten 25 pages out of these cartridges. I have run HP scan doctor and no issues with the printer or connectivity . All works well except no ink. Purchased from a nearby Walmart. The HP software says these are either used or counterfeit and the levels are at 0 capacity. There is no way to check if cartridges have ink in them when you purchase them
I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing issues? HP do u have a solution.

Hi @Don6901,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
Are you getting low ink or depleted error?
Check HP printer ink or toner levels: Click here
Update the firmware. Click here
If you have performed all the steps and still having issues, then the cartridges must be faulty or the printer needs service.
You may refer to this document for any cartridge errors.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks for the reply Elohi
I had checked the levels of the cartridges and the black was totally empty and the color showed a small level but the printer would not print in either color or black mode. I checked the firmware and totally up to date. I since replaced both the cartridges for the 3rd time. The printer works fine with ink. My issue is that there is no way to check when purchasing cartridges if they are full or half full. $150 later . These are genuine HP65 Cartridges . not refill. Purchased from a local Walmart. Is there a shelf life on these ? Do the cartridges dry out when not in use? At approximately $50 a pair I should be able to get what the specs indicate. What can HP rectify this?
