Product: 6500A
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Black printing stopped working completely.  Colors are ok.  Get message stating printhead is bad.  Replaced printhead but still get the same failure and same message.  Is there a cable or anything else I can check?

I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this as this could be a hardware issue.
