Hi @4work,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If you've changed the cyan cartridge in your HP OfficeJet Pro 6830 and blue still doesn’t print, even though the cartridge is new, try these steps to troubleshoot:
1. Run a Printhead Cleaning
- On the printer:
- Tap Setup (gear icon) > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead
- You may need to run this 2–3 times to see improvement.
2. Print a Test Page
- Tap Setup > Reports > Print Quality Report
- Check if blue (cyan) is missing or faint on the color blocks.
3. Check Cartridge and Vent
- Remove the cyan cartridge.
- Ensure:
- The plastic pull tab was fully removed.
- The vent (small hole on top) is not clogged.
- Clean the vent with a soft cloth or a pin if necessary.
4. Reinsert the Cartridge
- Reinsert it firmly until it clicks.
- Power cycle the printer (turn off, wait 30 seconds, turn on).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi! I had already replaced the cartridge and cleaned the printheads numerous times, and also reached the 3rd level of cleaning. Could my cartridge be defective? It is a genuine HP one. I also tried to print a letter in all blue to no avail. Thanks!
