HP915 has been retired (End of life) and the compatible 900 cartridge is no longer available in the market.

 

Any idea if any other cartridge could be used?

My printer is almost 12 months old and I cannot get replacement ink for it.

Is this a warranty issue as it cannot be used?

Can i take it back to the store and get a different printer that i can use.

Talking to different Whats App people is useless, they don't respond or I get put onto sales who keep telling me they will get back to me with some ink.

i have been waiting 3 months now because I kept getting told the cartridges are on back order and they will be in soon.

@Nev4, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Apologies for the inconvenience. There was an issue with the new lot of HP 910 Cyan and Yellow ink cartridges for this model printer and they were recalled. If the Cartridge was manufactured in Malaysia and the Warranty End Date is between April 1st, 2022 and September 18th, 2022, please do not use this ink cartridge.

 

Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document and also check if the printer/ink cartridges are eligible for a replacement. Refer to - 'Incompatible' or 'Defective Cartridge' message

 

Note: The ink cartridges should be available from 12 Dec 2020 in stores and online. Kindly recheck.

I have checked a few of the major suppliers, including HP shop online, Officeworks, JB-HiFi.

the only stocks of any HP915 inks are Magenta. All other colours and black are still not available, and staff at these stores are saying that they have no idea of when and if the ink will be available.

I’m very disappointed with HP , as no one has given any information about what’s happening, and if they do, such as this forum, the information is incorrect.

I need a printer to do important work, if you tell me that it’s no longer available or it will be a few months, I would purchase another printer, if you tell me a few days, I will wait.

I have been told a few days, 3 months ago.

my recommendations to everyone, don’t buy HP.

they don’t care about their customers and they will lie to you and string you along, rather than admitting they have a problem.

I understand your concern. Did you check if the printer or the ink cartridges is eligible for a replacement and fill out the form in the link mentioned in my previous post?
