Are there any differences between the HP967XL and the HP963XL cartridges?

Some HP printers like HP9020 can use both, so I wonder about selecting the best one depending on their specifications.

Thank You in advance

If it is mentioned on the printer paper work, you may use either of the ink cartridges. There will be no difference among these 2 ink cartridges as per the print quality is concerned.

The only difference is the page yield: The 963xl cartridge provides for up to 2000 pages, the 967xl provides up to 3000 pages (appox value)

Click the below links to check the ink cartridge specifications:

963xl:

967xl:

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

@listastudio, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

According to the documentation, this model printer supports HP 963 Black or HP 967XL Black ink cartridge.

XL stands for Extra large. if you need an extra large ink cartridge, go with HP 967XL, if you need a regular size black ink cartridge, buy a HP 963.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I understand. However, according to this document, HP 963XL ink cartirdge is not compatible with this printer. It may or may not work. Hence, use HP 967XL ink cartridges.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Inside my printer HP9020 there is an official HP stick that says Product 1MR78B uses cartridges 963, 963XL and 967XL.

So back to my original question: are there any different specifications between 963XL black and 967XL black, for me to use one in place of the other?
