I concur with abundance of other users, the HPINSTANTINK is a scam! It is over priced and so I cancelled... was not told and was UNAWARE that they would cut off my printing even though I had ink! Needed to print today and suddenly can't. WHAT? Googled it and learned when you cancel you are cut off even if ink remains in your cartridge. I cancelled WEEKS AGO. So now I sit with an urgent need to print and CAN'T. I have original cartridges but those too won't print. How do I tell difference between INSTANTINK and standard cartridges? Thought the XL was the difference, apparently I am wrong OR HP is mandating I sign up for INSTANTINK again? This is a scam and not worth the price or headache. If not for just purchasing my new HP Printer mid last year, I'd dump it and go back to Brother printers.... off to the store to buy more INK and PRAY it works! I despise you Hewlett Packard.
UPDATE: 24 hours later... new cartridges still gives message that i must enroll in Instatink to use the cartridges. Rebooted printer.. no better. Uninstalled and reinstalled printer... still can't print without signing up for instaprint. I am beyond upset with HP right now. Going out to buy a printer so I can PRINT!
When I cancelled I never got so much as a Cancellation Confirmation much less any indication I would be suddenly, without any notice, be cut off from the ability to print. I got an Invoice from Instantink yesterday too... NOT paying it until you let me have control of my printer back. Again, I despise HP!
