HP Officejet Pro 6978

Black ink prints fine but color only prints in pink with blue streaks.  Cartridges are 1/2 full.  Replaced with new color cartridges and problem continued.  Went to Office Max and they said there was a bad batch of ink at one point.  They no longer offer 902xl until HP releases them.  Has anyone had this issue?!

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

If you have already performed the steps from the document Print head Errors: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778  and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

Hope this helps!

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 inkjet printer with the same problems. I have gone through the same HP recommendations and other option to correct streaking and fading colors and now  the complete loss of the blue range.  I've cleaned and aligned the printheads per the instructions, checked the ink, deleted/reloaded the software, etc, all to no avail. I have come to the conclusion that I have to have my print heads replaced. I have tried to find a local firm that can repair HP desktop printers with no luck either. I'm now looking at replacing my printer which is unfortunate but appears to be my only option
