We don't have any way to know whether a color has been discontinued.

"We" are like you, users and owners of HP tech...

 

That said...

 

Checking here (HP Store > shop > ink and toner)

https://store.hp.com/us/en/cat/ink--toner---paper

 

and entering printer name:

officejet pro 6230 eprinter

 

shows two colors (black and magenta) in the XL.

If you are interested, it appears there is a multi-color pack of regular ink cartridges available.

 

What to do?

 

Contact the HP Store and Store Customer Service.
