Hi @Sindabs209

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the photo's quality on your printer is smearing and coming out wet

Please try the below suggestion.

  1. Check ink levels: Ensure all ink cartridges have sufficient ink and replace any that are low.
  2. Clean the printer: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the printhead, rollers, and platen glass.
  3. Print a cleaning page: Most HP printers have a built-in cleaning cycle to help clear any clogged printheads.
  4. Check paper selection: Use photo paper designed for your printer and ensure it's properly loaded.
  5. Ensure the photos are printed on the glossy side of the paper.
  6. Adjust print settings: Go into your printer settings and select the highest quality print option available.
  7. Update printer drivers: Check for and install any available updates for your printer driver.

If this solution hit the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
