Hi @Tinam86,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with your HP DeskJet 2710 All-In-One Printer after installing new ink cartridges, there are a few potential solutions you can try.

  • Check for Protective Tape: Ensure that you removed any protective tape or seals from the new ink cartridges before installing them. Sometimes, these tapes can interfere with the cartridge functionality.
  • Reinstall Cartridges: Take out both the black and color ink cartridges, double-check they are correctly installed, and then reinsert them firmly into their respective slots. Make sure they are securely in place.
  • Clean Contacts: Check for any dirt or ink residue on the metal contacts of the cartridges and the corresponding contacts inside the printer. Gently clean them with a lint-free cloth.
  • Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait for a few minutes. Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on. This action can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.
  • Update Firmware/Software: Visit the official HP website and check for any firmware or software updates for your printer model. Updating the printer's firmware can resolve compatibility issues and improve overall performance.
  • Check for Error Messages: If there are any error messages on the printer's display or your computer, take note of them. These messages can provide valuable information about the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
