Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Horizonal lines are printing on the page, not every page but approximately 3 out of 5 pages. I have replaced the toner cartridge, performed the Service / Cleaning Page multiple times (6), and cleaned the foam roller but horizonal lines are still printing on page. Any suggestions?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

 

I suggest that you follow the steps listed below to update the firmware from HP Smart App.

1. Go to 123.hp.com (Android, Apple iOS, iPad OS), or HP Smart - Microsoft Store (Windows), or HP Smart - Mac App Store (Mac) (if not installed).

2. After completing the printer setup, click or tap on the printer’s name.

NOTE: Menu names, locations, and available settings vary by printer model.

3. Under Advanced, select Printer Home Page (EWS) or Advanced Settings.

4. Click or tap Tools or Web Services.

5. Click or tap Printer Updates or Product Update, and then click or tap Check Now.

I attempted to follow the instructions to update the firmware. However after step 3, I found no options that led me to Printer Update or Product Update. I did look on the printer and found the firmware datacode = 20150212. 

 

If you have any other suggestions on how to update the firmware and/or fix the problem with the horizontal lines, please let me know.

I did a google search and found this page.

On it, it lists my printer and the latest version of the firmware of 20150212, which matches what is installed. 

 

Do you have any recommendations to fix the horizontal line problem since the firmware is up to date?

This could be a hardware issue with the unit and may need repair.

Note: Select your country from the dropdown,  enter the city or postal code, select the product and click on search to locate the nearest HP Service center near your location.
