HP Envy Photo 6255 Printer

Bad horizontal streaks on a black-and-white print.  Using original HP cartridges only. Replaced the B&W cartridge with a new HP cartridge.

I've tried 3x cleaning the cartridges / heads (ie. a level three clean) and it improved slightly,  but is definitely still streaking badly.

 

Also tried different paper stock, cleaning the cartridge head, etc. Horizontal streaks continue. 


My old HP printer was a workhorse. But last week the cable broke and it could not be fixed. Now I want to use this one, but cannot resolve this issuel Any solution to this dilemma?

I see that you get horizontal lines on the printouts. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

 

I also see that you have used 2 different HP black ink cartridges and the issue persists. In this case, it could be an issue with the printer.
