When I print my photos they print with several blue and pink horizontal lines. I've done the updates and maintenance.

Welcome to HP Support Community

I would like to help

Do it happen only with Photo Papers?

Do you experience the same issue while making Photocopies?

Please print a Quality Diagnostic Page and let me know how it prints

Thank you

Good morning! Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, the lines occur both with printing on photo paper and color printing on plain paper.

I ran the Quality Diagnostic page. It looks like everything is okay.

What next?

Yes, lines appear in printing photos on photo paper and plain paper. Text printing is fine.

Please ensure you are selecting the correct paper type and also select print quality as BEST

1. Open the photo or document you want to print

2. Click “File”

3. Click “Print”

4. Click “Properties,” “printer properties,” or “preferences,” whichever one applies to your printing device

5. Change paper size, paper type, duplex printing, quality, etc.

Also try cleaning the Printhead

  1. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  2. Open the Printer Maintenance menu.

  3. Open the Tools menu, and then touch Clean Printhead.
