HP DeskJet 2680 All-in-One Printer

How can I change my printer setting to use 123xl ink and not 65xl?

@D1236, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Cartridge issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The HP DeskJet 2680 All-in-One Printer is region-specific, meaning that the compatible ink cartridges depend on the region you purchased the printer in. Unfortunately, you cannot change the printer settings to use a different region's ink cartridges such as switching from 65XL to 123XL. Here is how the compatible cartridges break down:

  • For North America and Asia Pacific (excluding India, China, and Indonesia): HP 65, 65XL Black or Tri-color.
  • For Western Europe: HP 304, 304XL Black or Tri-color.
  • For Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and CIS: HP 123, 123XL Black or Tri-color.
  • For China, India, and Indonesia: HP 803, 803XL Black or Tri-color.

If your existing printer was designed for North America, it will only support the HP 65XL cartridges.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
