@mc720,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

And here you go:

How To Change Your HP Printer Region

Step 1

Phone HP customer service on the relevant phone number: https://www8.hp.com/uk/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html.

Step 2

Ask for the steps to re-regionalise your printer. They will tell you the numbers needed off your printers Test Print.

Step 3

Give them the requested details and they'll provide a special code to enter in your printer settings. This will give a response code you read to them.

Step 4

Turn your printer off for 2 minutes. Restart it and your printer should have switched region.

Hope this was helpful.

can not find any number, it direct to a HP Technical Phone Support page which need a subscription fee £21.49...

not worth it, a local second hand one is just £15...

@mc720,

The question: "how do I change my printer region", has come up quite a few times in this Forum, and it appears to be handled on a private, need-to-know basis.

Apparently, it requires the intervention of an HP Support Agent such as @Kumar0307 or @Jay_G24, and it involves the sending of private reset/instruction messages:

Perhaps one of our knowledgeable Community Moderators, like @MayS, could 'nudge' an HP Support Agent to assist you in this matter.

Kind Regards,

Hi @mc720,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you moved and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Yes" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping
