Hi @Irb1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To clean the printheads on your HP Envy 6055e printer, you can use the printer's built-in cleaning feature. Here’s how.
Using the Printer's Control Panel
Turn on the Printer: Make sure the printer is powered on and has paper loaded.
Access the Control Panel: On the printer's touch screen, swipe down to access the dashboard.
Navigate to Maintenance:
- Go to Setup (gear icon).
- Select Tools.
- Choose Clean Printhead or Printhead Cleaning.
Follow On-Screen Instructions: The printer will begin the cleaning process. This may take a few minutes.
Check the Print Quality:
- After the cleaning process, the printer will usually print a diagnostic page. Review it to see if the print quality has improved.
- If the print quality is still not satisfactory, you can repeat the process up to three times.
Using the HP Smart App (Windows or macOS)
Open HP Smart: Launch the HP Smart app on your computer.
Select Your Printer: From the home screen, select your HP Envy 6055e printer.
Go to Printer Maintenance:
- Click on Printer Maintenance.
- Choose Clean Printheads.
Start the Cleaning Process: Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the printheads.
Note:
- Avoid Frequent Cleanings: Repeated cleanings consume ink, so only do it when necessary.
- Use Genuine Ink Cartridges: Using non-HP ink cartridges can sometimes cause printhead issues. Genuine HP ink is recommended.
- Print Regularly: Printing a page or two every few days helps keep the printheads from clogging.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, the printheads may need a deeper cleaning or replacement.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
