Hi @Jeff1-_,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To change the cartridge protection settings on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e and address the "cartridge rejection" issue, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access the Printer's Control Panel

  1. Turn on the Printer: Ensure your printer is powered on.
  2. Go to Settings: On the printer's touchscreen, tap the Setup (gear icon) or Settings option.

Step 2: Find Cartridge Settings

  1. Select Printer Maintenance: Look for an option like Printer Maintenance or Tools.
  2. Go to Cartridge Protection: Find Cartridge Protection or Cartridge Settings in the menu.

Step 3: Change Cartridge Protection

  1. Disable Protection: If the cartridge protection is enabled, you should see an option to Disable it. Select this option to turn off cartridge protection.

Step 4: Confirm Changes

  1. Save Changes: Make sure to save any changes you made before exiting the menu.

Step 5: Restart the Printer

  1. Restart: After making changes, it’s a good idea to restart the printer to ensure the settings take effect.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
