@Will10100, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're looking to clean the ink jets on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer. I’d be happy to guide you through the process.

Cleaning the Ink Jets (Printhead) – Step-by-Step

You can clean the printhead using the printer’s built-in tools or manually if needed.

Option 1: Use the Printer Software (Recommended)

  1. On your printer’s control panel, go to the Setup menu (wrench icon).
  2. Select Printer Maintenance or Tools.
  3. Choose Clean Printhead.
  4. The printer will perform a cleaning cycle. After it finishes, it will print a test page.
  5. If the print quality is still poor, you can repeat the cleaning up to two more times.

Option 2: Use HP Software on Your Computer

If you're using a Windows PC:

  1. Open the HP Printer Assistant.
  2. Click on Maintain Your Printer.
  3. Select Clean Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.

For Mac users:

  1. Open HP Utility.
  2. Select your printer, then click Clean Printheads under the Information and Support section.

Option 3: Manual Cleaning (If Automatic Cleaning Fails)

If the print quality doesn’t improve after several cleaning cycles, you may need to manually clean the printhead. HP provides a detailed guide here: Clean the printhead | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
