on the Community one suggestion was to do a "Clean Boot Up of the system software, from internal memory"....  How is that done?

History of problem: Got the above error first on the Black Cartridge, and replaced it. The printer then sent the same error saying the Yellow cartridge was damaged, replaced it, but can not get past that error. I've cleaned all the printhead, cartridge and carrier electrical contacts with alcohol.  I have done the power removal/reset techniques listed but to no avail.

Thank you for your reply.  In trying to follow up, one recommendation was to do a 'hard reset'.  Following the procedure given I was able to perform a medium (?) reset, but now my printer shows the error message "one or more cartridges appear to be damaged. Remove them and replace with new cartridges."  but when I open the cover, the print head stays on the far right, cartridges are not accessible. I can not get to the Home Page . Help
