Hi @G-money3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for sharing the image, Based on what’s shown on your HP printer’s display, the message: "One or more cartridges are missing or damaged..." along with the icons for Cyan (C), Yellow (Y), and Black (K), suggests that one or more of these cartridges is either not detected, improperly seated, or physically damaged.

Steps to Identify and Fix the Faulty Cartridge

1. Check Each Cartridge One by One

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove each cartridge (Cyan, Yellow, Black) one at a time.
  • Inspect for:
    • Damaged copper contacts
    • Leaks or cracks
    • Protective tape still attached (if newly installed)

2. Clean the Cartridge Contacts

  • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Gently clean the gold contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer.
  • Let them dry before reinserting.

3. Reinsert and Test Individually

  • Insert only one cartridge at a time and close the door.
  • See if the error message changes or disappears.
  • Repeat for each cartridge to isolate the faulty one.

4. Try a Known-Good Cartridge

If you have a spare or another printer with compatible cartridges, try swapping them to confirm which one is causing the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
