How do I fix the cartridge error: "use setup cartridges that came with your printer"?
I've done all the remove the cartridges, unplug the printer while it's off and wait 60 seconds, turn it back on and plug the cartridges back in and my printer is still coming up with the error message. Not really sure what to do. It's not hooked up with instant ink.

@Ksiaumau, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to use the printer due to this error.
- The ink cartridges that go with the printers are setup ink cartridges that are designed to initialize the printer.
- if you do not have them, we will have to perform an OOB reset on the printer to bypass it and use regular HP ink cartridges.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
