Hi @pgracem053,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To prevent your HP Ink Tank 110 printer from drying out during the two months you'll be away, here are some tips.
- Print Regularly: Before leaving, print a test page or some documents to keep the ink flowing. This prevents the ink from drying out inside the print head.
- Clean the Print Head: Use the printer's maintenance functions to clean the print head before leaving. This helps remove any dried ink and keeps the nozzles clear.
- Cover the Printer: Cover the printer with a dust cover or a plastic bag to prevent dust from settling on the print head and cartridges.
- Keep the Printer in a Cool, Dry Place: Store the printer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Excessive heat can cause the ink to evaporate faster.
- Remove and Seal Ink Cartridges: If possible, remove the ink cartridges from the printer and seal them in an airtight plastic bag. This helps prevent the ink from drying out.
- Use Original HP Ink: Original HP ink cartridges are designed to maintain their quality for longer periods. If you're replacing cartridges before leaving, opt for genuine HP cartridges.
- Consider Automatic Maintenance: Some printers have automatic maintenance cycles that run periodically to prevent ink from drying out. Check if your printer has this feature and enable it if possible.
- Remote Printing: If your printer supports remote printing, you can print a test page or maintenance page remotely every few weeks to keep the ink flowing.
By following these tips, you can help prevent your HP Ink Tank 110 printer from drying out while you're away for two months.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
