It seems that whenever I put in a new cartridge, I run out of ink fairly quickly - like literally days after replacing. I get the standard  message 'ink level low, please replace cartridge'.  Is there a way for me to see how many color pages have printed after replacing a cartridge? I have the HP Envy Photo 7855.

Answer

No, at this writing, there is no built-in method to check how many pages are printed after you change the cartridge.

How long a cartridge lasts is directly related to size of the cartridge and the type of printing.

If you wish to do so, you can do your own calculations based on checking the numbers when you install a new cartridge and then again checking the printed page count when you next change the cartridge(s).  It is not ideal, there we are.

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Tools > Reports > Usage Report

Print the page / report or make note of the information.

Save it for the next time you change the cartridges so you can estimate the usage from one cartridge to the next.

I have the HP Envy Photo 7855.  Approximately (yes, approximately, not exact) how many pages should i be able to print after putting in new B&W and Color cartridges. Yes, I know there are many factors that affect how many pages - I simply would like an estimate or approximation. Thanks.
