I bought an HP 2720 Printer with a new PC but quickly realised it wasn't going to do what I wanted so I bought a replacement HP 6032 and sold the old one. That person has contacted me to say they can't enroll in instant ink and was told by HP that the previous owner i.e Me has it 'enrolled' and they will need to 'release it'. However, If I log on to my HP account it only shows I have one printer - my new 6032e - but when I click on HP Smart on my desktop it shows two printers with an arrow to the side enabling me to scroll from one printer to the other. One of those is the 2720 I no longer have. I've read the help about 'installing a new printer' etc but that doesn't apply here. I've also seen about clicking on the down arrow and deleting one printer but I don't have that option.  Also , my HP account recognises I only have one printer so why is HP Ink still allocated to me? How do we let HP know that the Instant Ink needs to be transferred?

Thanks but it didn't because - as I stated in my post - there was no drop-down option so my printer didn't appear. The problem was pretty much resolved by the new owner of the printer who sorted it out by talking to HP. Why it is so difficult to sell or remove a previously owned printer now is completely beyond me.
