How to adjust color settings on M555

We use a maroon banner on our printouts that on this printer is too red.  I am looking for directions on how to adjust color settings to make our banners maroon as intended.  We've updated drivers and don't have this problem on our other HP printers.  Only this printer.  I've gone through the control panel on the printer and see ways to adjust the primary color levels on the printer, but there is nothing what those changes affect and after playing with these settings I've seen no real changes.  One person suggested that the colors are too saturated.  It might be possible to adjust the registration to fix this color issue as well.  The user's manual doesn't have anything about this.  Is there a document that covers how to make adjustments to color settings for this M555 printer?
