The Black ink is full but isn't printing.  I'm assuming it's a printhead cleaning problem,  but the printheads don't move to the centre when I open it up.  I think they're supposed to do this...  I'm sure this happened before and I managed to clean them through the app rather than manually.  Can anyone gelp?

Hi, and thanks for your reply,

The diagnostic page only prints 3 blocks, 1 blue, 1 red and 1 yellow - absolutely nothing else .  The black ink is full.

With the old Smart App, it was possible to clean the printheads but the new app doesn't offer this.  I'm finding it  impossible to get any help from anywhere and my printer is now useless and it's less than 18th months old.

Please someone help!

Hello @PeggySue7

In this case, you will have to replace the printer head.

best regards

I found exactly what I wanted on You Tube - specific instructions for print head cleaning for my model 7005 which has no digital display but only buttons.  None of this was forthcoming from anyone at HP.

It took several cleanings over three days but,  just when I was about to give up, it produced a near perfect diagnostic sheet.  As the printer had been unused for a few months, I suspect there’d been some drying out and I was on the point of buying new printheads but they weren’t needed.

Sorry I can’t find the link as there are so many videos but it’s worth looking.
