I filled the reservoir for black ink with blue ink.

What do I need to do?

I don't see how to remove the reservoir to empty it.

Hi @PhilippeTh,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

Oh no, I can imagine how frustrating and concerning it must feel to have accidentally filled the black ink reservoir with blue ink. Let’s walk through some steps to address this issue safely.

Unfortunately, the ink reservoirs in the HP Smart Tank series printers are not designed to be removed or emptied easily, as they are intended for long-term use. Here’s what you can do:

Stop Using the Printer Immediately
Prevent further damage by avoiding printing until the ink is properly addressed, as it can mix and clog the printhead.

I recommend you contact phone support or the nearest service center.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
