On Macbook Pro mid-2015, mac OS 11.6 Big Sur, Laser printer CE1415, Safari 14.1.2:
With a new cyan laser cartridge, printed pages have a layer of blue all over the page. The print is also printed. This happens only when printing from the internet. Copies and Word documents are fine, except the printer moans when printing. Those pages have some dry blue, skin-like residue on the back edges of the page behind the top of the page.
Examined Cyan cartridge and it looks fine. Tried to get Print Quality report and it canceled after saying it was printing.
Anyone had this happen? If so, can be done about it before contacting HP?
Thank you!

@Tortugo1, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
To assist you better, what model printer are you using?
Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.
If other documents are printing fine, it means this is not an issue with the printer but the app you are using to print.
Try printing from a different web browser like Google Chrome or Firefox.
Or, try printing a different web page/ email and check.
Keep me posted for further assistance.

This is Sara who had the blue/cyan problem. The suggested Browser change did not help. We have now taken the printer to a service operation. The cartridge was faulty and that caused the problem. We could not perceive any visible fault in the cartridge.
Thanks for the suggest!
