Hi @dylandotanthony,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If Cyan is not printing on your printer despite multiple cleaning attempts and using new cartridges, here are some additional steps and considerations you can try:
1. Check Ink Cartridge Installation
- Ensure that the Cyan ink cartridge is installed correctly. Remove it and reinsert it carefully to make sure it's properly seated.
2. Run Printer's Cleaning Cycle Again
- Use your printer's software or control panel to run a deeper cleaning cycle specifically targeting the Cyan printhead. Sometimes, multiple cleaning cycles are necessary to clear stubborn blockages.
3. Check Ink Levels
- Verify that the Cyan ink cartridge has sufficient ink. Low ink levels can sometimes prevent proper printing.
4. Print a Diagnostic Page
- Most printers have a diagnostic or test page function that can help identify issues with specific colors. Print a diagnostic page to see if the Cyan color is missing or streaky.
5. Manual Printhead Cleaning
- If the printhead cleaning function doesn’t resolve the issue, you can try manually cleaning the printhead:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Locate the printhead: It's usually where the cartridges sit when the printer is in standby mode.
- Dampen a lint-free cloth with distilled water (do not use tap water as it can contain minerals that could clog the printhead further).
- Gently wipe the printhead to remove any dried ink or debris. Avoid applying too much pressure, as this could damage the printhead.
- Allow the printhead to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridges and powering the printer back on.
6. Check for Firmware Updates
- Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates include improvements to printhead performance and ink delivery.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
