My printer has been working fine. Ink cartridge was depleted. I purchased the same third party ink cartridges I always do and now I cannot use them. It gives me a Non-HP chip detected error message. I have tried to contact HP directly and they tell me that my printer is now obsolete and out of warranty and it won’t even work with HP ink?? So I just need to purchase a new one. THERE IS NOTHING WEONG WITH MY PRINTER OTHER THAN HP HAS BLOCKED ME FROM USING ANY INK THAT ISNT THEIRS. Has anyone else had this issue and was able to get their printer to accept the third party ink? I have an office jet pro 8715.

Hi @Nurse296
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
You may refill your cartridges or use remanufactured cartridges, but you may run into problems. HP will not guarantee the functionality of those ink cartridges.
There are many cartridges in the market which is refilled and sometimes the chip is not configured to work with the printer. You need to contact the cartridge manufacturer and find out why it's not working. Try a different cartridge supplier and check if that works.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
