Hi @Hunter_Britt ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Performing a hard reset on your HP OfficeJet 4650 can help in various situations, including setting up a new HP Instant Ink subscription or resolving cartridge issues. Here's how you can do a hard reset:
Turn on the Printer:
- Ensure that your HP OfficeJet 4650 is turned on.
Disconnect Power:
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
Unplug from the Wall Outlet:
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait for a While:
- Leave the printer unplugged for at least 60 seconds. This will allow any residual power to drain from the printer.
Reconnect the Power Cord:
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect to the Printer:
- Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
Turn on the Printer:
- Turn on the printer by pressing the power button.
Wait for Initialization:
- Allow the printer to go through its startup process and initialize.
After performing these steps, your HP OfficeJet 4650 should be reset. Now you can set up a new HP Instant Ink subscription or configure the current ink cartridge.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
