Hi @Joyce144,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To install ink cartridges in your HP OfficeJet 8010e printer, follow these steps.
Prepare the Printer
- Make sure your printer is powered on.
- Open the cartridge access door by lifting it until it locks into place.
Insert the Ink Cartridges
- Wait for the carriage to move to the center.
- Remove the new ink cartridges from their packaging.
- Remove the protective plastic tape from the cartridges. Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles.
- Insert each cartridge into its corresponding slot:
- Black cartridge goes into the right slot.
- Color cartridge goes into the left slot.
- Push down until the cartridge snaps into place.
Close the Printer
- Lower the cartridge access door until it clicks shut.
- Wait for the printer to align the cartridges automatically.
Print an Alignment Page (if prompted)
- If the printer asks for alignment, follow the on-screen instructions to print and scan the alignment page.
Your HP OfficeJet 8010e is now ready to print!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
