Product: Envy Photo 6220
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey! I'm using a Envy Photo 6220 printer to print photos. I'm running out of ink very quickly. I thought maybe because the printer seems to be cleaning the printhead automatically too often. Is there a way to turn the automatic cleaning off?

Any other suggestions why it might be running out of ink? I have optimized the printing in every way!

There was also this problem that the original setup cartridge was expired. Still the printer used it up, now I'm using regular ones. Could that effect the ink consumption?

HP Recommended

The printhead cleaning can't be turned OFF, it's part of the print process.

You should take a look at HP Smart tank printers they have way cheaper ink in bottles.
