I have this printer setup as a network printer and we change the number of copies that print in a web-based software. The issue is it will print the two copies but it collates them. When I go into the advanced settings for this printer it shows Copies 1 and the collate box it greyed out but it's checked. I don't want to set the printer to printer 2 copies for everything that prints on that printer so I can't change it to 2 copies in the driver setup but if I do then I can uncheck the collate button.
Is there a way to get the printer stop defaulting to collate when printing multiple copies from specific software that does not have an option to control the collate from their print dialog box?
TIA
Stacy

You need to set the default settings on the print server to non-collate. Workstations inherit their settings from the server and if users on workstations do not have high enough permissions they will not be able to change.

I can't set it on the server. The server is set to 1 copy and the collate is checked but greyed out. That is my issue. I feel like when the software changes to print 2 copies that collate is already checked on the printer driver so it keeps that setting. We have to manually turn it off every time we print. I'd rather just force it to be unchecked rather than checked.
