Product: HP OfficeJet 6962 All-in-One Printer

I am running MAC OS Sonoma and gave HP Smart installed.

Printer is not printing in black, but Smart says the black cartridge is full.

Have cleaned the print head both by running the clean printhead program and by manually cleaning it with a

dropper filled with warm water and alcohol ( the print head cannot be lifted from the unit)  Saw this cleaning option

on a you Tube video.   

When I shake the cartridge, i hear the liquid ink inside of it.   So, its either the printhead is worn out ( if thats possible) or the

HP Smart thinks the cartridge is empty, even though its actually full.

I would buy another cartridge to test it, but if the machine is on its last legs, why spend the money?  I already have a drawer

full of cartridges I cant use with a new machine
