Hp Deskjet 3050A cardstock

Hello, 

I am trying to print cardstock invites (5x7) on my HP Deskjet 3050A J611 series. I know the weight needs to "Cards: Up to 200 g/m² (110-lb index maximum)" taken from  manual.

Do I have to print on 8x11 cardstock or is there a way I can change the settings so I can print on 5x7 card stock?

You need to be able to create a Custom Size form for any card paper that is not a "standard supported" size.  There is no indication - at least not from the outside looking in at the documentation - that the printer supports the Custom Size format.

What about that custom form?

Well, you can try - no harm in trying and it MIGHT work.

1. Availability (of the Custom Form feature) and how the form is created depends on printer model, the software, and the Operating System / Version.
2. Custom Paper form requires that the Full Feature Software has been installed.
3. If the feature is at least partially supported the Custom Setup will be available in Devices and Printers OR in Printer Preferences.
4. If the feature is fully supported, the custom form can be created AND then used with the printer software.

What if?

Be aware that printers have changed over the years.  If you decide to purchase a new printer, please know that budget printers tend to do "budget things".  That means, simply, that you should read, observe, and compare the features you want in a new printer before purchase.
