my HP office jet pro 6990 blue ink isn't working, Ive changed the cartridge, I've completed the printer head maintenance several times/ repeatedly but it isn't working. any advice on what the problem is and how to solve the problem. I really don't want to buy a new printer

Restart the Printer and Computer
- Turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
- Restart your computer to ensure there are no pending software issues.
Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Find and uninstall any HP printer software.
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and download the latest drivers. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
Update Printer Firmware
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

The problem isn’t the computer, it’s the printer. If I photo copy a coloured document on the printer it doesn’t printer the blue, the computer isn’t involved in the process if I’m only using the printer to copy a document. My company logo is blue, which is a pain as all of my documents have blue on them. I have a MacBook and scan doctor isn’t available for Mac.

Apologies for the misunderstanding! I see now that the issue is with your printer not printing blue when copying a document, not with the computer.
