  • Printer prints half the words in a line...
  • Might be some cartridge alignment issue or cleaning issue. First day after installation, it printed correctly. But when I give a print 3-4 days later, print is not ok..tried fixing issue with hp doctor app, it solved the problem a bit but not completely. Now everytime I have to run this hp doctor app before giving any print. Tell me what I will have to do to completely remove this issue

Hi @Arjit12, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP DeskJet 2332 is printing words that are cut off and leaving frustrating blank rows – like parts of your documents are simply vanishing! 👻 Since the HP Print and Scan Doctor gives a temporary fix but the problem keeps coming back, let's take a more hands-on, step-by-step approach to try and permanently resolve this. We'll be like print quality detectives, carefully investigating each possibility! 🕵️‍♀️

Let's go through these steps to try and bring those missing parts of your prints back into full view:

Clean the Printhead

Automatic Cleaning via HP Software:

  • Open HP Printer Assistant (on Windows).
  • Go to Print & Scan > Maintain Your Printer.
  • Select Clean the Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Repeat the cleaning process 2-3 times if necessary.

Manual Cleaning (if needed):

  • Turn off the printer and remove the ink cartridges.
  • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to clean the copper-colored contacts of the cartridges.
  • Let them dry for a few minutes before reinserting.

Align the Ink Cartridges

  1. Open HP Support Assistant on your PC.
  2. Go to Maintain Your Printer.
  3. Select Align Cartridges and follow the steps.

After alignment, print a test page to check if the issue is resolved.

Check for Ink Levels & Replace if Needed

  • Open HP Smart App or HP Printer Assistant.
  • Check the estimated ink levels.
  • If any cartridge is very low, replace it.

Update/Reinstall Printer Driver

Uninstall Existing Driver:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP DeskJet 2332 and select Remove Device.
  • Go to Control Panel > Programs & Features and uninstall any HP-related software.

Reinstall the Latest Driver:

  • Download the latest driver from HP’s official website.
  • Install and follow the setup process.

Change Paper Settings

  • Before printing, ensure the correct paper type and print quality settings:
    • Open Printer Properties from the Print Menu.
    • Set Paper Type to Plain Paper (or as needed).
    • Set Print Quality to Best.

Avoid Printer Idle Time

  • Since the issue appears after 3-4 days, print a test page every 2-3 days to keep the nozzles unclogged.

After completing all steps, restart the printer and print a test page. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the ink cartridges, as faulty or dried cartridges can cause missing text.

I hope this helps. 😊

Take care and have a good day. ☀️📄😊
