Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have looked online to try and resolve the issues regarding the printer not printing the bottom of my pages.

It doesn't matter if I'm using open office, Microsoft word, Internet explorer none of them make a difference

I have tried realigning and scanning the page numerous times.

I have put in new cartridges

I have checked ink levels and cleaned the heads.

I have turned it off and on again

I have changed borders on pages and checked the paper settings.

Am I missing something?

I am running a business where I am printing labels and this is wasting so many labels. 4 from every sheet are wasted.

Any other help would be appreciated.

"Am I missing something?"

Possibly, though much depends on whether this has ever worked before.

For example, the bottom edge margin hardware limitation is larger than the others:

Print Margin Bottom (A4)12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)3 mm

Labels, regardless of the size of the template / label sheet generally must be printed at "Actual Size".

Your template / label paper must accommodate the .5 inch for the bottom margin.

If you have not done so, try Consider...

Download-save-install the Full Feature Software / Full Driver for the printer

Full Driver / Full Feature Software does not require a sign-in to use the software.

Download / save / run

HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software

  • Download-and-Save the printer software (Full Feature Software / HP Smart / Easy Start)
  • Right-Click on the downloaded package and "Run as Administrator" to start the installation
  • Reminder:  If using Easy Start, select the Full Driver

Easy Start...

About 2/3 of the way through the setup, you will be given the opportunity to select the software - select the "Full Driver" set (as opposed to the basic driver).

Any...

If using USB:  Connect the cable when instructed to do so (near the last part of the driver installation)

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

Full driver provides print and scan functions (even if HP Smart proves to be stubborn).

Adobe Reader DC – Install Whether You Use It or Not

If you have not done so,

Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC /Optional  Foxit Reader)

HINT:  Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software

NOTE:  Adobe Reader DC software can be installed even if you do not normally open / view / print PDF files directly from the Adobe Reader DC software.

What to do?

Try / Consider

Export your Word label template to PDF.

Open the PDF file in Adobe Reader DC

Click the Print icon

Set up the main menu options

Check Properties - set the basics

For example, set Shortcut to "Everyday printing" (or similar) and set the paper size.

Click OK to save settings and leave the Properties menu

When ready, click to Print
