- Hp deskjet 2742e prints the first line of the document only

Ny new printer is 2 weeks old hp deskjet 2742e it worked well for the first week then suddenly when it prints, it prints only the first line of the document. I print from a macbook air M1. Both cartridges are full and paper is loaded. I didnt change any set up from when it was working fine. It just suddenly did the first line only thing.

I understand the printer is printing only the first line of the document. To assist you better,
- Which application are you trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check if that prints the whole document. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check for any software updates on Mac
Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
If the issue persists with all types of documents and copies, perform the steps mentioned in this document - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues
Check the ink levels, clean the ink cartridges, and print a test page to check the result.
