Printer is something I need for my everyday activities, but, lately, it has started to act weirdly. I own an HP LaserJet m130a. The issue is: when I print my documents, the text becomes warped, deformed or it prints with uneven proportions. I really don't know how to explain it, so I'm attaching pics below.

Hi @Havi-github,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing printing and copying problems with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130a. To help you troubleshoot and resolve these issues, please follow these steps.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to a power source and your computer.
  • Verify that there is enough paper in the paper tray and that it is loaded correctly.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Look for any error messages or flashing lights on the printer's control panel. These can provide clues about the issue.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can often resolve minor issues.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers if necessary.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can cause problems. Open all the access doors and remove any paper jams carefully.

Check Toner/Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the toner or ink cartridge is not empty or low. If it's low, replace it with a new one.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Perform a manual cleaning of the printer's paper path and rollers. Dust and debris can affect printing quality.

Print a Test Page:

  • Use the printer's control panel to print a test page. This will help you determine if the issue is with the printer itself or your computer.

Software Troubleshooting:

  • If the issue persists, try printing from a different application or computer to rule out software-related problems.

Reset Factory Settings (Caution: This will erase all custom settings):

  • As a last resort, you can reset the printer to its factory settings. Consult your printer's manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to do this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
