Hi @gkk207,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet Plus 6075 printer is not printing properly despite replacing the cartridges and performing all recommended self-help steps, the issue might be due to a variety of factors. Here’s a comprehensive troubleshooting guide to help you address and resolve the print quality problems:

1. Check Ink Levels and Cartridge Installation:

  • Open HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel to check the ink levels.
  • Replace Cartridges: Ensure the cartridges have sufficient ink. If you’ve recently replaced them, ensure the cartridges are genuine HP cartridges.
  • Turn On Printer: Ensure the printer is on and the cartridges are accessible.
  • Remove and Reinstall Cartridges: Remove the cartridges, wait a moment, then reinstall them, making sure they are securely in place.

2. Run Printer Diagnostic Tools:

  • Open HP Smart: Use the HP Smart app to run a diagnostic check or print quality report. This can help identify specific issues with print quality.
  • Access from Printer: On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the menu for “Tools” or “Setup” and select “Print Quality Report”. Review the report for any abnormalities.

3. Perform Printhead Cleaning and Alignment:

  • HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app and go to “Printer Maintenance” or “Tools”, then select “Clean Printhead”.
  • Follow Instructions: The app will guide you through the cleaning process.
  • Access Printer Menu: On the printer’s control panel, go to “Setup” or “Tools” and select “Align Printhead”.
  • Follow Instructions: Complete the alignment process to ensure proper ink distribution.

4. Check Paper and Print Settings:

  • Use Recommended Paper: Ensure you are using the correct type and size of paper for your printer. Refer to the printer’s manual for paper recommendations.
  • Open Print Dialog: When printing, open the print settings dialog.
  • Select Quality: Set the print quality to “High” or “Best” in the print settings.
  • Check Color Management: Ensure color management settings are correct for your print job.

5. Update Printer Firmware and Drivers:

  • HP Support Website: Go to the HP support website, enter your printer model, and check for available firmware updates.
  • Install Updates: Follow the instructions to download and install any available updates.

Update Drivers:

  • HP Support Website: Check for the latest drivers for your printer model and install them if needed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
