Hp 7155

My Hp 7155 is locked up. It makes no sound and is stuck on the start up sequence. It shows one dot and it just stops there. I tried unplugging and waiting several minutes but nothing happened.  The touch screen is unresponsive.

Hi @Riffraff22 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 7155 printer is stuck in the startup sequence and is unresponsive, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 1-2 minutes to allow any residual power to dissipate.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Hard Reset:

  • If a power cycle doesn't resolve the issue, you can perform a hard reset.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is turned on.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Update Firmware (if possible):

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP 7155 printer on the HP website.
  • If possible, update the firmware to the latest version.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer. Open any access doors and check for any stuck paper.

Disconnect from Network (if applicable):

  • If your printer is connected to a network, try disconnecting it and see if the issue persists. This helps to identify if the problem is related to network communication.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
