I can't find cartridges N9J91A and N9J90A. Can I replace them with other cartridges?

My printer said the cartridges were incompatible and would not print.I finally replaced the black and color cartridges that end in "A" instead of "N". I can't find ones that end in "A". May I use a different number cartridge for black and color ones? Thank you!
